I've even tried installing the Microsoft Word Viewer, but I'm still getting the error I'm puzzled as to how to solve this. None of the other documents in the directory are having this and it has images, but I have another documen also with images that isn't experiencing the problem at all. The information contined within it is more recent than the others and would prefer to reitrieve it if I can.
Is there any other way to open the file? Perhaps there is an application that will let me view the document in its natural state? This thread is locked. In the meantime, try renaming or changing the file extension from. DOC to. Then, check if you can already open the file in the new version of Word app. But, before renaming or changing the extension, make sure that you save a copy of the original file just in case renaming will not work. Word Options window will pop up. Click the Trust Center Settings button. Trust Center windows will pop up. Select File Block Settings. Then, uncheck all the boxes in the Open column.
