Ps3 update 3.21 problems

Via PlayStation Forums. Some people are getting their PSN accounts locked out because they broken the PSN terms of use and used a proxy to bypass the firmware checks.. My ps3 is about 3 months old and its never frozen as frequently as it has in the past few days.

Fully charged, not that dumb. Before the udate everything was fine. Now the PS3 3. Weird part is the PS3 3. Since the update there are also loads of people who have found they cant add funds to their psn wallet, whatever card details they put in it says the car is no longer valid or you cannot updatecard details and tells them to ontact technical support but gives no way to make said contact.

Good thing I have came across this post. I guess I should just wait for it to be stable enough for now. Fix this Sony!! I updated and now it will not read any discs at all! It was working perfectly before the 3. I had friends over on a Friday night to play Rock Band, did a quick update before, and had to cancel because of this crap.

Tried a few things like hard-booting and trying to fix the corrupted files but every time I try it will not work. I have never had a problem with any of my playstation systems WTF sony. Glad I read all this. I was about 2 seconds away from updating. Screw going online for now, I will wait until Sony confirms that the update is not screwing up machines anymore.

It wont log in and says network error. There is nothing wrong with my net tho. If sony keep denying no fault due to 3. FIX this problem yesterday and get a new firmware upgrade released.. As everything was going great thought would update to latest 3. It all took a turn for worst update cancelled at 69 percent. I have tried a different hard disk and have also tried booting system update from a memory stick.

In this article: firmware , firmware 3. Sony already irked a few people by removing the "install other OS" with its PS3 firmware 3. Judging from reports on the official PlayStation forums, a sizable number of PS3 users have run into an array of different problems after installing the update, which range from folks not being able to log into PSN or load a disc after the update, to users not being able to turn on their PS3 at all -- some have even reported freezing during the update process.

Of course, there's also lots of users that have updated without any issues whatsoever, and the problems don't seem to have yet drawn an official response from Sony.

Let us know how things worked out for you in the comments below. Nope, that didn't work for me, i've tried the retailer too, my only choice now is the re-manufactured unit exchange, which isn't too bad to be honest.

That is quite bizarre! GMC79 Distinguished Member. Weird, someones gonna have to try a full factory reset however you do it? Something just went funny it seems. That's what id be doing first.. Thing is, if it's firmware related, then there's nothing you can do as there's no way to rollback to a previous version Deviousdevo Standard Member.

Hi All called Sony today re my PS3 and the bluray not responding to any bluray disc - however it would read DVD or CD I have tried all the things that i have found on the forums within the safe mode have even re installed the firmware over the top using a USB stick, swapped out hard drive for another etc It may have had a real hard life - i know my PS3 hasnt been abused.

I'll assume you're being given one free? Yours definitely reads other discs? You didn't say if your Sony option was free? Me Again i may be on to something here I thought the firmware was contained within the PS3 flash memory? So no matter what drive you go back to it'll always have the newest firmware on it, well, the one you most recently installed. Hmm, maybe, seems a bit wooly, but i'll give it a go on my original 60GB when i get home.

I've already taken out my GB upgrade, so i'll format the 60GB and see how it goes. It is impossible though to go back to a different version of the firmware, without sending the machine back to Sony Nope, couldn't read anything, but it did happen around the time I updated to 3.

I don't get what you say when you say "can only reinstall the current firmware", i don't think you can install any firmware can you? As it's already present, even if you format Surely, if that were the case, there would be somewhere you could get the old firmware.
